Our value
-
The difference between EMDrugs and other sources of information is our focus on providing a practical approach to pharmacology from the perspective of emergency medicine.
-
EMDrugs aims to introduce and familiarize the healthcare team with drugs and their usage through an executive summary, as well as specific sections that describe the role of the drug in particular indications or pathologies.
-
We focus on describing the most appropriate way to use medications, detailing which indications (labeled or off-label) have solid evidence and which do not.
Limitations
-
We cover commonly prescribed medications in the emergency department, though not all of them.
-
EMDrugs complements other drug databases, such as drug interaction checkers, pregnancy and lactation databases, and drug banks containing thousands of medications approved for human use.
Yes, EMDrugs offers open-access Executive Summaries of medications.
Additionally, we provide extended descriptions of these medications and comparative tables with updated references, available for an accessible annual subscription fee.
